Hiking in Canada
Canada is justifiably famous for its hiking
trails.
From the Rocky Mountains, to the coastal trails, to the country-wide Trans Canada
Trail, we have some really great walks!
Our country covers 9,093,507 square
kilometres.
The distance from the Atlantic Coast to the
Pacific Coast is 7,604 km. We have roughly 3 people per square
kilometre.
In other words, we have a lot of wilderness for you to hike through!
We can't summarize hiking in Canada on one website, but we can give you some
links to gather information.

adventure.

And because they are one of my very favorite stores, you must check
out Mountain Equipment Co-op for all your hiking
needs.
Before you head out to the hiking trail, don't forget to check our pages
on hiking in bear
country, safety in cougar
country, or meeting some of our large hoofed animals such
as elk, moose or
bison.
Be prepared before you hit the trail!
